Brit gardener 'shot in neck' and killed by Russians while helping comrade in Ukraine

Russian forces while trying to save an injured comrade in Ukraine.Craig Stanley Mackintosh, 48 from Thetford in Norfolk, was serving as a volunteer medic with Ukrainian forces near to Kharkiv.

It is believed his squad was ambushed by Vladimir Putin's men on Wednesday last week (August 24), and that he died rushing to help someone in a vehicle that had been hit by a Russian tank shell. He added: "This man deserves a medal and more. I spoke to Craig every day leading up to going back into Ukraine for a second time."He was a great guy with a big heart and had an amazing sense of humour.

I've just spoken to one of the guys that was attached to Craig's team and he said that Craig fought with great bravery and honour and was a very brave man."Craig had two daughters and two step-daughters and served in the Territorial Army between the ages of 16 to 23.
