The Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and Australian musician Nick Cave can now add artists to their CV after making their art debut on Sunday. The stars opened an art exhibition in Finland that includes sculptures and ceramics.
The Sara Hilden Art Museum in Tampere was only going to display work by the British artist Thomas Houseago, but he persuaded curators to feature the Mr and Mrs Smith actor and the frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. "Cave and Pitt are already renowned in their respective fields of music and cinema, but this is the first time ever they have exhibited their artwork - pieces which were created during the course of an ongoing dialogue with Houseago", the museum said.
There are nine works on display from the pair, including a house in clear silicon shot with bullets, and a plaster panel showing a shooting scene.
Pitt began making ceramic art after his divorce from Angelina Jolie in 2017. He told the Finnish broadcaster YLE: "To me it's all about self-reflection.
