Brighton chief executive Paul Barber has claimed it would be “incredibly unjust” if Liverpool did not lift the Premier League title this season.
Barber was one of the 20 club chiefs to take part in a video conference call with the league about the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
With fixtures currently postponed until at least April 4, the season may be scrapped altogether, with West Ham ’s vice-chairman Karren Brady claiming this season should be declared null and void .
That proposal would mean Liverpool miss out on winning their first ever Premier League trophy, despite sitting a huge 25 points ahead of their nearest challengers.
