Brighton chief asks Premier League to dump Project Restart and follow Bundesliga lead

Paul Barber has urged the Premier League to follow the Bundesliga’s lead rather than Project Restart. The German Government has given the green light for clubs to use their own stadiums but games will be behind closed doors when fixtures return next week.

But the UK Government and police have told Premier League bosses they want neutral venues to be used if English top flight football is to resume in June.

But Brighton chief executive Barber insists that English fans should be trusted to behave and also that they should follow Germany’s example before making key decisions.
