Brighton chief executive Paul Barber has warned the Premier League is facing a full scale revolt over the Project Restart plans.
Barber is adamant that it is far more than the bottom six clubs who are against proposals to use neutral stadiums and any potential vote will result in an “impasse.” Premier League bosses on Thursday sent out further proposals to clubs ahead of Monday’s next meeting.
But it is understood they centre on training and changes to contract deadlines and do not require a vote. Clubs would have to vote on neutral venues as they represent a constitutional change.
And Barber insists that if they did then it could be thrown out because it would not get the necessary 14 votes to get it through.
