The Premier League is continuing discussions around Project Restart and their intention to complete the 2019/20 on the field by playing all the remaining 92 matches behind closed doors.
On Monday, the Premier League will meet in their latest shareholders meeting. While the intention is for matches to be played, likely to be behind closed doors and possibly at neutral stadiums, there are a number of issues to overcome in a nation where the death toll is the highest in Europe and continues to rise.
Encouragement can be taken from Germany’s Bundesliga, which was given government approval to resume the season and will see matches start again from next week - the first of Europe’s top leagues to return.
