A pedestrian has died after a collision involving a tram in Tameside. Emergency crews were called to Market Street, in Droylsden, after a tram hit a pedestrian.
The collision happened just after 8pm on Friday evening (December 17), close to Droylsden Metrolink station. Tram services between Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester Piccadilly have been suspended as emergency crews work at the scene. Greater Manchester Police say they are working to ‘establish the full circumstances of the situation’.
