Encountered at 13 years old by talent manager Scooter Braun after he had watched the boy's YouTube cover song videos, Bieber was signed to RBMG Records in 2008. Bieber's debut EP, My World, released in late 2009, made Bieber the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

manchestereveningnews.co.ukA pedestrian has died after a collision involving a tram in Tameside. Emergency crews were called to Market Street, in Droylsden, after a tram hit a pedestrian.
The collision happened just after 8pm on Friday evening (December 17), close to Droylsden Metrolink station. Tram services between Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester Piccadilly have been suspended as emergency crews work at the scene. Greater Manchester Police say they are working to ‘establish the full circumstances of the situation’.
