A woman has died after collapsing in the middle of a busy road on Christmas Day before being hit by a car. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene after being called out at approximately 7.05pm on December 25.
Officers attended the scene of the incident near Westhoughton in Greater Manchester, and established that a pedestrian had collapsed while crossing the road at a junction, as reported by Lancs Live.After collapsing, the woman was then hit by a vehicle.A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, but has since been released under investigation.PC Phill Collingwood, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Firstly, I'd like to offer our condolences to the woman's family."Our
