ITV’s brand new adaptation of H.E. Bates’ novel The Darling Buds of May returns to our screens tonight. Bradley Walsh, who plays Pop Larkin, stars alongside Sabrina Bartlett, Joanna Scanlan and a host of authors.The classic Kent sitcom debuted last weekend and was met with somewhat mixed reviews.The original Darling Buds of May series was shot in the village of Pluckley just outside Ashford, while The Larkins was filmed across Kent — but mostly on an undisclosed working farm.
