A toddler has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a motorbike knocked him down in a hit and run. Petticoat Lane in Ince has been closed for most of this afternoon, April 13, after a motorbike mowed down a young boy, believed to be two-years-old.
The bike failed to stop after the crash, which left the toddler needing hospital treatment for serious injuries. Emergency services rushed to the road at 12.16pm after reports a blue Suzuki GS 500 motorbike had hit the youngster.
According to Greater Manchester Police, the two-year-old has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
As of 3pm, the road remains shut.
