Police in Bournemouth say visitors have shown "little common sense" after chaos was sparked by thousands of people flocking to the beach.
A major incident was declared earlier today after huge crowds gathered by the Dorset coast on the hottest day of the year, which saw temperatures reach 33C.
According to an update issued by the force, revellers were still arriving at the seafront at 5pm despite pleas to stay away.
Officials have appealed to people once again to avoid the area.
