A suspected grenade was found by a member of the public in a canal in Trafford. The bomb squad attended the incident in Stretford, with police and firefighters.

GMP said earlier: "At around 1.30pm this afternoon (31 October), police were called to a report that a suspected grenade had been found in the canal near Edge Lane, Stretford.
