missing Scot in the Highlands. Police made the discovery during searches on Ben Loyal, Sutherland, on the morning of Friday August 7.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Stuart Campbell has been informed. The 33-year-old, from Dornoch, is believed to have travelled to Ben Loyal to the south of Tongue on July 25, two days before his family reported him missing.
His car, a red Suzuki Swift was found at a car park most regularly used by walkers accessing Ben Loyal. The body has been recovered with the help of a Coastguard Helicopter.A Police Scotland statement read: "We can confirm the body of a man has been found during searches on Ben Loyal in Sutherland.
