BirminghamLive reports.The 43-year-old from Olton Boulevard West, Tyseley, admitted it was a 'stupid thing' when he was arrested.During a hearing at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Friday (March 11) Deane broke down in tears after pleading guilty to obstructing a train.He was sentenced to a community order.Prosecutor Daniella Davidson-James stated the incident occurred at 8.30pm on August 4 last year.She said: "A driver of a train reported Mr Deane trespassing on the railway track.
He was under the influence of drink or drugs at the Hockley Tunnel."The driver reported Mr Deane as he was rolling a joint and refusing to move from the railway line.
The train was unable to move forward."All train movements between the Jewellery Quarter and Snow Hill were suspended for the safety of Mr Deane.
He was escorted to the Jewellery Quarter and stated 'I have done a stupid thing'."Ms Davidson-James told the court that in police interview Deane said he had been drinking on the anniversary of his father's death and that he showed remorse for his actions.
