Spain introduced the restrictions in order to avoid crowds on the sand and avoid an increase of infections along the east coast.
Travellers had limited use of the beaches, but could make reservations online or in-persn for a space on the sand.The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Perez, said the decision to lift beach restrictions was made due to a decrease of visitors in the month of August.
