Scots prisoner dies after stockpiling antipsychotic drugs in cell before fatal overdose

A prisoner died from an overdose after jail staff failed to notice he had been stockpiling the antipsychotic medication in his cell, an inquiry heard. Robert Allen, who passed away in May 2019, was in the segregation and reintegration unit at HMP Shotts in Lanarkshire, due to two incidents involving serious violence.
