Dick Van Dyke, 96, 'happy to be alive' as he's spotted leaving restaurant in LA
Dick Van Dyke said he's "glad to still be here" after he enjoyed a spot of lunch with a friend in LA.The 96 year old appeared to be in a rather upbeat mood as he was asked by well-wishers last week if he had plans for Father's Day, however he indicated that he was planning to keep things rather low-key.Dick said: "I'm just glad to still be here," before before heading into his car to run his errands.READ NEXT: Dick Van Dyke, 96, totally unrecognisable with white beard as he heads out with wife, 50In pictures obtained by MailOnline, Dick could be seen wearing a long sleeved grey top with a pair of navy blue trousers.Sporting a long grey beard, the Hollywood legend made playful gestures to the camera.Dick shares four children with his ex-wife Margerie Willet - who he married in 1948 before divorcing 36 years later. He also has seven grandchildren.The actor's long-time companion Michelle Triola Marvin who he lived with him for 30 years sadly passed away in 2009 but he later married Arlene Silver, 50, in 2012.On Valentine's Day this year, Dick proved that he's still got what it takes as he danced alongside his wife Arlene Silver, in their Everybody Loves a Lover music video.The loved up pair performed a cover of a Richard Adler and Robert Allen song, which was previously made popular by Doris Day in 1958, alongside barbershop trio the Vantastix and trumpet player Tony Guerrero.Speaking about the song and the group he formed in 2020, Dick said: "I love to harmonise, so that keeps me going."It's kind of my retirement amusement.
