BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent certainly knows this more than most, as she told a joke that went completely flat on Tuesday morning's episode.
While presenting her sporting segment, Sally, 49, spoke passionately about the horse racing event that took place in Redcar recently.Speaking about who won the race and making reference to stunt performer Harry Houdini, Sally said: "Plenty of people took the opportunity to return through the turnstiles in race courses up and down the country, those including Redcar where Miss Houdini escaped with the win.Trying to see if fellow presenters Dan Walker and Louise Minchin understood, Sally quickly added: "Do you like what I did there?""Louise got that joke at least, I'm glad someone did!" she said.
