Britain is braced for an invasion of deadly Asian hornets which rip the heads off honeybees and can kill humans with a single sting.
The insects, first spotted in the UK in 2016, are thought to have made their way to Blighty via France, having travelled to Europe from China in boxes of pottery back in 2004.
Frequently seen on the British Isles of Jersey and Guernsey, the killer bugs have also been spotted - and subsequently destroyed - on mainland UK.
On these shores, they wreak havoc the honeybee population, but will also attack humans if they feel threatened. A single sting can kill if the victim is allergic to their venom.
