AN Antiques Roadshow guest gasped 'can I sit down?' after a bombshell valuation - and warned her husband 'don't tell the children'.
Sunday night's edition of the BBC show took place at Dyffryn Gardens and saw expert Will Farmer meet a couple who had an impressive collection of colourful crockery.
He said: "Here in front of us, we have got such a broad spread of works by Clarice Cliff, everything from her landscapes, her geometrics, her fruits and florals. "So I have got to ask the question, is this an inheritance, or is this a collection?" The lady revealed how they had bought a bowl from an antiques shop as they liked how colourful it was, but realised it looked similar to some cups, saucers and tea plates that her grandparents had owned.
