City's 2-2 draw with West Ham last Sunday gave their title rivals hope, with Pep Guardiola 's side forced to rue several missed opportunities including Riyad Mahrez 's late penalty miss after a disastrous first half performance. Whilst the title is within City's grasp, many on Merseyside will be hoping their former skipper will aid their quest to lift a second Premier League title, and it still remains a possibility.
