Manchester City will do battle with Liverpool one final time this season as the Premier League title goes down to the last day once again, just like it did in 2019.

Jurgen Klopp's side came from a goal down to beat Southampton at St. Mary's on Tuesday night, with the Reds' much changed side winning 2-1 on the South Coast, moving to within a point of the City.

City's 2-2 draw with West Ham last Sunday gave their title rivals hope, with Pep Guardiola 's side forced to rue several missed opportunities including Riyad Mahrez 's late penalty miss after a disastrous first half performance. Whilst the title is within City's grasp, many on Merseyside will be hoping their former skipper will aid their quest to lift a second Premier League title, and it still remains a possibility.
