If you're not born-and-bred Greater Manchester, it can be difficult to navigate how to pronounce some of the region's areas.
When I first visited around 10 years ago, I was caught saying 'Sal-ford' and when I moved here three years ago, 'Burry' was rolling off the tongue instead of 'Berry'.
Aside from some of the boroughs, there are also little towns and suburbs that can be tricky to pronounce for newcomers. And there are a few that even locals disagree over.
