Manchester City are unlikely to allow centre-back Nathan Ake to leave the club in the January transfer window, amid recent reports linking the Dutchman with a move to West Ham United.
That is according to a report by The Athletic who claim that City will not consider accepting offers for the defender next month, despite mounting interest.
Ake, who joined City from AFC Bournemouth in August 2020, following the Cherries' relegation to the Championship, has struggled for regular opportunities so far this season, making just 11 appearances in all competitions.
Of those 11 appearances, only six of them have come in the Premier League, meaning the former Chelsea man is bound to be feeling a tad frustrated about his lack of game time this term.
