All performances of the 'Saturday Night Fever' musical have been cancelled at Manchester Opera House due to 'Covid related absences'.

The hit musical was set to kick off at the theatre, on Quay Street, on January 25 and was set to take to the stage until the following Saturday, January 29.

However, due to complications brought on by coronavirus, the theatre has taken to social media to announce that every performance has now been cancelled. READ MOREReview: Rocky Horror at Palace Theatre The option to purchase tickets from the ATG Tickets website for the venue has also been removed.

Guests have been told they will be contacted with further information over the coming days. In December, a Covid outbreak among the Book of Mormon musical cast and crew at Manchester's Palace Theatre forced the cancellation of all the shows there until after Christmas.
