Airdrieonians state they "do not accept the league has been won" after Raith were crowned League One champions today. Following Dundee's deciding vote to back the SPFL crisis plan, the Kirkcaldy side secured top spot with the Diamonds and Falkirk to the title less than 0.2 points per game behind.
In a statement released to Lanarkshire Live Sport, an spokesman confirmed that the Monklands side felt they had "no choice" to support the league being axed as it would not be possible to fulfil their remaining games.
However, the New Broomfield chiefs say they do accept that a realistic resolution had to be reached, with several players out of contract in June.
