While there’s no denying loungewear remains unbeaten in the comfort and practicality stakes, it's no longer the only contender for your current day-to-day look.
British brand Me + Em reported that three out of five of its bestsellers in the past week were dresses, contributing to a 31% rise on last year’s dress sales - and we’re not talking about the oversized linen kind that solely tick the loungewear box, either.
Each one on their list was a ‘special’ frock: chic prints, pretty pussybows and feminine silhouettes reigned, and while you'd be forgiven for thinking that these wouldn’t have a place in our current lockdown scenario, but in a way, lockdown makes them even more appealing.
