Woman 'tries to buy fellow Walmart shopper's baby for £370k' in bizarre encounter

The 49-year-old is thought to have approached the unnamed mum while they were both waiting in a line at a self-check at the store in Crockett, Texas, last week.
The mother told police that the woman commented on her one-year-old's blond hair and blue eyes and asked how much he would cost, KETK.com reports.She said that she had initially laughed it off but the woman followed up by stating she had had £185,513 [$250,000] in her car, according to the affidavit.The mum went on to say that another woman had joined Taylor mid-through the conversation.
She alerted the incident to the police, according to The New York Post.Authorities were told that the parent decided to wait for the two women to leave the shop but they reportedly stayed put in the car park and screamed a new offer at her - upping the price to £370,907 [$500,000].Police have since confirmed that they analysed the footage from the scene and said it appeared to match the mother's report, according to the affidavit.It was reported that Taylor and the other woman eventually left the site.Taylor has since been released from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office on a $50,000 bond, reports Click 2 Houston.
