The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to hospital where she was said to be in a serious but stable condition, SurreyLive reports.Investigating officer, PC Emma Davies, said the collision is believed to have occurred between 8.15am and 8.20am on Thursday (December 24).In a statement issued on Christmas Day, Surrey Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a suspected hit and run collision in Ashtead yesterday morning (December 24)."Officers were on patrol when a member of the public alerted them to a woman lying.
