Yvonne was a mum of three loving daughters and proud grandmother to four children, one of whom sadly passed away. She also had two brothers and is survived by her mother.
Her colleagues described as a team player who went "above and beyond," Leicestershire Live reports. They said she cared well and deeply for her patients, often being the first to arrive and last to leave work.
Chief nurse at Leicester hospitals, Carolyn Fox penned and shared an emotional tribute with staff calling Yvonne ‘one of our own’.
