Struggling families across Greater Manchester have been handed a life-line by supermarket bosses - with a whopping 48,000 meals donated during the school holidays.

Aldi gave an eggs-tra special helping hand to good causes across Lanarkshire during the school Easter holidays.

More than 160,000 meals have been delivered to communities across North Lanarkshire by Aldi since the supermarket giant launched its food donations initiative in 2019.

Several charities and community groups across South Lanarkshire have benefited from Aldi’s donation of meals over the Christmas period.
