The 22-year-old defender had agreed a three-year contract with the Whites and moved from Dutch side Feyenoord, subject to international clearance.
He spent the second half of last season in League One on loan at Wigan Athletic and turned out 22 times for the Latics, scoring once.
The Manchester-born left-sided defender progressed through Liverpool’s Academy structure, where he captained the Reds’ under 23s, before moving to the Netherlands in 2019 for a significant six-figure sum.
