The youngster played 26 times for Wanderers over the course of last season and saved his only goal for the big final day clash at Crawley Town.
His strike helped Bolton on their way to a 4-1 away victory, that sealed automatic promotion at the first time of asking. Ian Evatt is preparing for a big summer at the club as he puts together a squad to compete in League One, and it appears Afolayan is firmly in his plans.
