'Desperate to be involved' - George Johnston's first words after joining Bolton Wanderers

The 22-year-old has joined the Whites from Dutch side Feyenoord on a three-year deal, subject to international clearance. He spent the second half of last season in League One - which Wanderers will be playing in next season after clinching automatic promotion from League Two.

That was at Wigan Athletic and he played 22 games and netted one goal as the Latics avoided relegation last season. Johnston came through the youth team ranks at Liverpool before making the move to the Netherlands in 2019.
