Huge queues of people eager to get their Covid jabs are continuing to form for the third day in the city centre. Pictures taken outside the Town Hall, in St Peter's Square this afternoon, show a long line of people stood waiting to get their vaccine at a pop up walk-in centre.
The line stretches from under the Town Hall arches, right through the centre of the square as far as the Midland Hotel. The wait time at 4pm this afternoon was understood to be around 90 minutes.
A busker, complete with Christmas hat, even turned up to entertain those who were stood waiting. It is understood that the vaccines are being administered from a small pop up site with limited numbers of staff.
