Spider-Man is here to save the box office.On Friday it was revealed the latest installment in the franchise - Spider-Man: No Way Home - took in in a staggering $50million in Thursday previews alone.Setting an impressive new bar for blockbuster movies of the pandemic-era, the Tom Holland and Zendaya-starring film is now set to rake in between $150 million to $180 million over opening weekend, Varietyestimates.In fact, the film scored the third-largest preview total ever, trailing only those for Avengers: Endgame ($60 million) and The Force Awakens ($57 million).
