She’s a brilliant and versatile performer, without doubt; she should be celebrated for that - and for proving that women over 50 can and should be enough to carry a film, without requiring a leading man or a younger woman to be the romantic interest.It’s not that which I take issue with.
Nor is it that she’s baring an awful lot of skin. This is not about skinny-shaming her either; she’s naturally tall and slim, and probably spends a fair amount of time in the gym too.
I wish I had the time and the discipline for that kind of self-care. My issue is with the aggressive airbrushing of an already beautiful woman, and not just of her face, but her body.
