With their garage sound and catchy raps, Mis-Teeq were a huge part of the noughties music scene. The seeds for the group were first sown in 1997 when Alesha Dixon and bandmate Sabrina Washington met at Dance Attic studios in Fulham, London, and formed unsigned group Face2Face with third member, Tina Barrett.
But she left to join S Club 7 after an audition with Spice Girls mogul Simon Fuller, and singers Zena McNally and Su-Elise Nash were instead drafted in and their name was changed to Mis-Teeq.
Between 2000 and 2005, the London girl group sold 12 million records worldwide, had seven consecutive top-ten singles and even performed at the Queen's Jubilee.
