Alesha Dixon hits back at Mis-Teeq bandmate Sabrina's royalties lawsuit

Alesha Dixon has fired back at her former Mis-Teeq bandmate's lawsuit by claiming that she deserves more money -because she wrote her own rap verses.

This week it was reported that Sabrina Washington had launched legal proceedings against the Britain's Got Talent judge and record label Universal over the royalties of some of the band's biggest hits.

Sabrina, who starred in the girlband with Alesha and Su-Elise Nash before they split in 2005, is said to have accused Alesha of 'wrongfully claiming' songwriting royalties for singles Why and All I Want.

Today a spokesperson for Alesha has hit out at the suggestion by saying the singer/rapper contributed most to the songs. The rep explained: "Alesha wrote the raps on both Why and All I Want and
