West Ham failed with an audacious bid for Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips on Transfer Deadline Day.The Hammers were prepared to offer up to £55million for the England international to join his central midfielder partner, on the international stage, Declan Rice.Leeds rebuffed the offer for the man who has also generated interest from Manchester United.
