McDonald's customers have been left 'devastated' after the fast food restaurant announced it has temporarily removed the new Chicken Big Mac.
The chain only introduced the limited edition burger to its UK menu on February 2 for what was supposed to be a six week run.
But the franchise today confirmed that the item is no longer available due to 'incredible demand', the Mirror reports. McDonald's said that the popular burger will be back, but has yet to announce when.
Posting to Twitter, the fast food chain wrote: “Well, that escalated quickly. Your love for the limited edition Chicken Big Mac knew no bounds and it’s sold out almost everywhere. “Thank you for lovin’ it even more than we thought you would, it’ll be back soon.”Maccies fans say they’ve been left heartbroken by the update.
