West Ham United are in advanced talks with Lucas Paqueta over a five-year deal after submitting a £34million bid for the Brazilian.The Athletic report that the Hammers are working on a deal to sign Paqueta after making a bid for the 24-year-old midfielder on Wednesday.
Talks are understood to be underway with Lyon over a fee for the player, meanwhile, the club have also begun discussions with Paqueta with regards to a five-year deal.According to journalist Nicolas Schira, West Ham are ready to offer Paqueta a deal worth around £80,000-per-week which would keep him at the London Stadium until 2027.

This would equate to £5.1million if West Ham's current bid is accepted.Manager David Moyes was asked about the club's move for Paqueta during his press conference on Thursday, explaining: "We have bid for him.
