Armed police and specialist officers surrounded some caravans near a former factory in Manchester city centre today as a main road was also taped off.
Officers taped off Store Street, which is close to Manchester Piccadilly train station, from around 10am this morning. A huge armed response team then surrounded an area near a former factory between Store Street and Ducie Street.
Pictures taken at the scene appeared to show the police activity focusing around some caravans that were parked up in the area.
