WarnerMedia Sets Up Relief Fund For Laid Off Production Workers

WarnerMedia is giving back to its’ production workers who have been laid off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In an internal memo via Variety, CEO John Stankey told employees that more “than $100 million” will go to help those crew members whose jobs have been put on pause. “We have paused many productions for the health and safety of employees, cast, crew and community,” the memo read. “We are stepping up with a commitment of more than $100 million to assist team members of those productions during this time.” The memo also goes on to state that the launch of HBO Max is still on track for May, and that they are gaining more ratings as more tune into television. “Our tech teams have been operating under very unique circumstances and have
