'Unruly' plane passenger 'hit in head with coffee pot' after trying to enter cockpit

The unnamed man, who attempted to open the cockpit and plane doors, was escorted off the flight in Kansas City, complete with the bruises of a coffee pot being swung in his direction.

Passenger Mouaz Moustafa told Fox News Digital: “As people were trying to subdue him and everything, the same flight attendant runs all the way back and grabs a coffee pot, goes all the way to the front and starts bashing this guy, like in the head.”The flight was supposed to fly to Washington DC from Los Angeles International Airport but had to be diverted three hours into the flight to Kansas City.According to passengers onboard, the man had to be subdued using a coffee pot as the plane descended rapidly, the Mirror reports.

Another passenger said the incident was 'very scary' and said the lights in the plane suddenly came on as several men stood up to rush to first class.The man was reportedly bleeding when he was taken into custody, the passenger added.An American Airlines spokesperson said in a statement after the incident: "American Airlines flight 1775 with service from Los Angeles [LAX] to Washington, DC [DCA] diverted to Kansas City [MCI] due to an unruly passenger."The flight landed safely at MCI at 2:28pm local time, and law enforcement was requested to meet the flight on arrival.For more shocking stories from the Daily Star,.
