Brits face gale force winds and torrential rain as an Arctic blast sweeps over the country.The Met Office predicted up to 52mph gusts will batter north western regions of Scotland on Tuesday.The storms and winds were expected to be felt across the nation and parts of England and Wales in the afternoon, the Mirror reports.The chaotic conditions come from an 800 mile-wide storm that was centred on Iceland.Conditions are predicted to get worse as March draws to a close, with the north west facing the worst of the wintry showers by Friday and the mercury could dip as low as 2C by the weekend.Forecasters at the Met Office say the North-West will be worst affected by the Icelandic storm, with the South-East also hit at times.Temperatures are also.
