Britain is set to be battered by heavy rain and strong winds over the next few days with temperatures as low as 2C. Most of the country will see plenty of clouds around on Saturday, with temperatures in single figures.
Heavy rain which could cause flooding, sparking public transport chaos, is forecast for Scotland. A Met Office yellow warning for rain is in place in parts of north-east Scotland until 12pm.
Scots are braced for downpours with 40-60mm of rainfall likely and up to 100mm over higher ground. Elsewhere, Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said Eastern areas of the UK will remain damp and grey.
