Lady Gaga is coming to the rescue. The Academy Award winner has stepped up and will take over hosting duties at Elton John's annual Oscars party, set for March 27.
The change was made due to scheduling conflicts with the artist's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tour. Pose star Billy Porter and Will and Grace actor Eric McCormack will serve as co-hosts for the yearly gathering held on Hollywood's biggest night.
Elton's husband, David Furnish, issued a statement Wednesday praising the trio. 'Lady Gaga, Billy Porter and Eric McCormack are not only amazingly talented, but have greatly contributed to LGBTQ+ visibility and inclusion in entertainment – both on screen and in music,' he said. 'I’m honored to have this group to join me on stage in West Hollywood Park to advocate for all marginalized groups affected by HIV. 'Furnish is chairman of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Co-host Billy Porter said he 'couldn’t be more thrilled,' to co-host the event, with the Emmy award winner adding, 'This is a cause that is deeply personal for me and I am committed to supporting incredible organizations like Elton John AIDS Foundation with the hope of helping others through their journeys.
