The sun and warm temperatures being enjoyed by Brits over the last couple of days are set to be replaced with plummeting temperatures, snow and rain.
Wintry conditions are set to make a swift return this weekend, with overnight temperatures expected to plunge as low as -4C, despite some parts of the UK seeing 18C yesterday.
The early spring cold snap is thanks to a weather system coming in from the North sea with frozen air from the Arctic to move across the UK.
The Environment Agency, meanwhile, has issued 38 flood alerts in the south of England for Thursday with on-and-off rain likely through to the weekend.
