Brits can look forward to some more sunny weather in the run-up to the early May Bank Holiday. Heavy showers are expected to sweep across the south tonight, with wind speeds hitting 50mph or more in the South West.
People across the south and the Midlands should brace themselves for gales in the 30mph range tomorrow. But, temperatures will creep up as the week continues, with finer weather arriving across the country through Wendy and Thursday.
Highs of 21C are expected on Thursday, while Friday should see temperatures as high as 23C. Anyone planning a socially-distanced street party, though, should be warned that sharp showers could put a dampener on proceedings.
