Most of Bournemouth beach put on red alert after crowds flocked to the beach throughout the morning, Somerset Live reports. The alert means authorities believe social distancing is impossible.
While some small stretches remain on orange alert, much of the beach has now been deemed unsafe and people are being told to avoid the beach because "safe social distancing is not possible".
